As you see above Deserts covers 5% of the entire world and 20% of Earths Land. The world’s largest desert is Northern Africa’s Sahara Desert which is more than 3.5 million square miles (9 million square kilometres) Sahara stretches from Mauritania to Egypt and Sudan. The smallest Desert in the world is Carcross desert in Northern Canada it is 240 hectares. Did you know that there are several types of deserts on Earth, defined based in temperature of the region hot and cold, semiarid, arid or rainless deserts. Some of the Desert Biomes around the world can be located in the United States, Africa, Iran, Saudi Arabia and Australia.
